I love the additional imaginative ways to refer to TFG:

Manchurian Cantaloupe

Danger Yam

Coppertone Caligula

Orangutan Oligarch

Tangerine Palpatine

These are all keepers.

I wish you would post “Will There Be Another U.S. Civil War” on Facebook. More people need to read it. I’ve learned so much about what’s happening with Trump from your articles. They are clear and concise, written in a language I can understand. Thank you.

Agree. This essay should be broadly shared and posted on every platform available.

"And the only way to ensure that doesn’t happen is to vote Democrat. So please do that." From your mouth to Some Deity's ears!

I just read this for desert instead of candy. Brilliant. But above all correct.

Excellent analysis, and so many great names for the Orange Man. Manchurian Cantaloupe remains my favorite

#notallNASCARFans, some of us remember stock cars got put into usage because moonshiners were runnin from the law and needed to get up and out ahead of doughnut-guzzling shitheels and bootlickers. Every time I see one of these dingdongs with modded rides and a Blue Lives Matter flag, I just take off my hat and say a prayer that the ghost of Dale’ll possess em to go the fuck back to their suburban neighborhood and rip those stupid fuckin light poles off the back of their F150. I loved all of the pseudonyms for Drumpf but sadly, I'm too old and out of it to "get" the last one. Anybody? Help. What's the reference for "Despotic Needy"?

Despotic is the adjective but the name is Needy Amin. Because he’s so needy for worship.

Back in the day, I knew a young songwriter who wrote "V.D. Got To Idi" It was hilarious, but the kid wasn't signed to a label and it went nowhere... Still... I do love a good idi amin reference.

As in the old dictator, Idi Amin.

The full nickname is “Needy Amin”, as in the late and unlamented Uganda dictator Idi Amin.

After I read "Scooby Coup"... and then each brilliant nickname that followed...

And after James Fell calmed me somewhat by convincingly pointing out the

"alabaster asswipes" are too comfy to make actual war...

Well, after that, I HAD to become a paid subscriber to "Sweary History"

FYI, picture for this story is of the Soldiers & Sailors Monument in Cleveland, OH. Giveaway is the Terminal Tower (yes, that's its name) in the background. It was erected to honor the over 9k people from Cuyahoga County who served the Union during the Civil War.

Wars in other countries is an American staple, regardless of the party. But I'm interested in which war/s in particular you're concerned about? If the west withdraws support from Ukraine, it will further embolden Putin and that will have significant global consequences.

Expand full comment

From your question it sees you assume the American propaganda is true about why the war started and it being Putin’s fault when that is patently false and please don’t tell me this one is somehow different from Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan and now Ukraine. Basic research will clearly show who started the war and why and all you have to do is look to the Head of NATO and his early speeches. Easy to find.
