I remember this day since I was then living in London Ontario and had a year old daughter. I fully expected Canada to clamp down on guns after that. There was also more attention given to the mental problems that led to the mass murder at ecole Polytechnique. This is how responsible nations behave after incidents like this. The result is that the number of mass shootings in Canada can be counted on less than one finger. I never felt or feel in danger when I am in a mall or a movie theater or a Walmart in Canada. I do not worry about my grand nieces or nephews going to school. But I do here, in my adopted country. And that is only since Sandy Hook. And then there is Uvalde......

Canada, you have proven yourself superior to us down here in the US once again. Why do we not follow your lead? What is it about that imaginary line between our two countries that makes those to the north of it so much more reasonable about guns than those of us to the south of it? <sigh>
