‘For too long people have looked to others to shoulder the burdens of change. The privileged benefit from the status quo and see little reason to make efforts at altering it. Throughout history, it is the mass of millions of acts both great and small that changes the world for the better. And so, if you have privilege, use it for good. If there is a wrong in need of righting, right it. If there is aid in need of being given, give it.’
I expected that you did know about Claudette. Her story is known, just not as well known as Rosa Parks. The reason why her story isn't as well known is sad but, unfortunately the way things were in 1955.
Off subject. I bought Robert Sawyer's book about Oppenheimer. Shared it with my husband and daughter. Enjoyed it very much, especially all the work he put into it. I "liked" him on FB. BUT, although I get his posts on FB I cannot comment on anything. I sent him a message asking him to add me so I can comment. Nothing.
Today he had a post about Asian bathroom plumbing. I noticed you commented on it. If you could ask him to unclude me on his "friends" list I would be very thankful.
I couldn't find anywhere I could "pay" for his friendship, or to be a follower. But if that is what it takes I will.
Wow! You are such a good writer! You constantly make me think.
There is no excuse to not to step up. None.

Exactly! As you say, ‘Be the change!’
If you want the change be the change.
I keep reading new favorites! You are on fire, Mr. Fell!
Before Rosa there was Claudette.

I know. Claudette is mentioned at the beginning of my story about Rosa in my book.

He's got a profile, not a page, and has reached his friend limit.
Include, not unclude. I am feeling very uncluded by Robert Sawyer as it is.
