I was only 12 at the time but remember it vividly. I was thrilled when Billie Jean won.
I was SO amused that she kicked his ass. He deserved it.
I saw it as a child too. She ran his ass like a poor whipped dog. It was a thing of beauty.
This was one of the events during my childhood when my mother gathered me and my siblings and sat us down in front of the tv to watch, saying “this is history.”
