From one RoseAnne to another - well said. I think I will add "how the fucknickelback" to my vocab.

Thank you for this!! Even as an 11 year old at the time I knew Carter was the better choice than Reagan and I'd LOVE to go back to gym class that day and shove this information into a friend's face. Guarantee that kid's a devotee of the mango menace today.

President Carter was screwed over by the Iranian government and instead we got Ronald “Ketchup is a Vegetable” Reagan. Carter went on to do great humanitarian works and Reagan became a vegetable.

I was pretty young when this happened. I was considerably less young when Ollie Fucking North had to cop to Iran Contra.

Power...that is all they want.

I was pissed about it at the time. I was glad the hostages were released but pissed it cost him the election.

There’s an extra word in the paragraph that starts with ‘the myth of the hostages’ (or something like that), four lines down it says ‘were feared’ and it doesn’t make sense. I think you just popped an extra word in there by mistake.

And hey man, I’m so sorry to be the one to point out two errors in your writing today. I feel like an asshole editing Karen. But, I also thought you’d want to know so that you can fix it. Like when someone has spinach in their teeth.

Otherwise, it was a great read. Fuck Reagan!

I have always said that Carter was a better president than he was ever given credit for.
