No such implication was made. You're making the mistake of imagining that because I'm discussing an event that happened on this day in history means I'm not aware of other things that happened on other days.
I just found out today that women, despite being born in the US, could lose their citizenship (and the right to the newly right to vote which is why I am bringing it up here) if they married a non-citizen back then.
