If I were going to be Christian, I'd be Episcopalian. There's an Episcopal church downtown in my city and it has a big ol BLM banner prominently displayed, next to a current-design (more inclusive) pride flag, on the outside of the building. Y'all are the coolest!

I'm Christo-Pagan, a fact my church family celebrated with me during my baptism. Our church was founded by people who wanted to dive into criminal justice reform in the 1980's, when other local Episcopal congregations kind of scratched their heads in confusion at them. We've been among the congregations that have led the way, but we're not alone -- at the Michigan Diocesan level, we passed a resolution affirming the inherent dignity and worth of trans people, and in opposition to political efforts to oppress them, six or so years ago (during 45's tenure). So, yeah, my church family is seriously cool, and I'm pleased and frequently humbled to be among them.

Have you ever written a column on King James and the origin of the King James Bible? I especially like the part where the 60 scholars voted on which books should be included in the Bible... 🙄

No, just the Council of Nicaea, which was kind of the same thing.

Seems to me that if one has to hold votes to determine with book is inspired, one really has to question the entire effort. 🙄
