James, please know that in addition to those who would not normally read history, you have helped at least one person who is seemingly no longer ABLE to read “traditional” history literature.
Similar to you, I was diagnosed with ADHD a couple of years ago at age 43. Based on my PhD from Google University (with confirmation of its probability by ACTUAL doctors), one of the incredibly frustrating effects of ADHsquirrel!! (especially when the accompanying moderate-level anxiety tag teams itself into the fucking conversation) is my virtual inability to read anything for more than 10 minutes at a time.
The format of your writing (and your first book - self-published version, ftw!) has brought me joy by allowing me to reconnect with one of my passions, as I was a History major in university. Thank you!
Reminds me of one of the favourite Brit swear words: "cockwomble" (no one appears to know the origins). Once someone invents a good one, it tends to stick! So, keep creating!
You know you've made it when a reader spits coffee out their nose. Ha ha!
And congratulations. :).
Ok, now you’ve done it. I’m going to have to order this book. Congratulations on a job well done!
