When I read Impotus, my mind thought impotent rather than impeachment and I thought "I fucking hope so, there's nothing he'd like less than that", although he probably is, anyway.

Don't pick on the Greatest Orange Zombie, he stayed awake for most of his own speech, covered many issues, even some that made no sense, and the only shit came out of his mouth not his diaper and his rant made trimming my 2 dogs nails seem more exciting.

I was just having a discussion about representation by population, but specifically regarding Alberta.

Alberta has a total of 87 seats (but is planning to add two more)

Alberta’s population is ~ 5 million

60% of Albertans live in two cities; Calgary and Edmonton.

Calgary has 26 seats, and a population of 1.6 million

33% of total population, and 24% of seats.

Edmonton has 12 seats, and a population of 1.2 million

24% of total population, and 7.25% of seats

Calgary and Edmonton together:

Population: ~3 million

60% of total population

Seats: 38

44% of seats.

Red Deer has two seats, and a population of 100,000 or .1 million.

.02% of total population, and .2% of seats.

Medicine Hat, Brooks, and Cypress Alberta have 2 seats between them, and a population of 92,719.

.02% of .02% of seats.

It’s pretty balanced between population percentage and seat percentage in other seats I checked as well.

As an expat Albertan living in British Columbia, I believe Edmonton to be a far more liberal city than Calgary. I believe Edmonton to be far more liberal than the rest of Alberta, with the exception of Banff and Canmore.

Edmonton is really getting the shaft.

When you look at the fact that a large majority of the population (60%) are represented by less than half (44%) of the seats available in the Alberta Legislative Assembly, it’s not hard to figure out why a crazy person is leading the operation at the moment.
