People like that are still around. They can’t get away with quite that level of exploitation at this moment in time, but they haven’t given up on the idea the rest of us exist for their pleasure.

Britain is full of wealthy estates and rich individuals, whose inherited wealth, dating back to those days, doesn't withstand scrutiny well. This could also be said of many of America's wealthiest families. There's a lot of "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" in their backgrounds.

My family has photos and artifacts from their enslaved times. They have pics of the enslaver from Scotland, where he came from. My FIL's father was lynched. My partner's grandfather.

They're as horrible as you can imagine.
