Frank Sinatra could be a jerk in many ways to many people but he was way ahead of most of American society in seeing Black people as people and judging talent as talent. The same imperiousness that his talent allowed him to direct at those who failed to meet his expectations was used to insist that other talented individuals be treated as such rather than as appendages of disfavored groups. It makes perfect sense that he would hire a Black architect just as he loved to collaborate with Black musicians and entertainers he admired.

What a hero. True definition of grit and elegance. White people are so damn stuck and lacking real facts.
