Important Update for all Subscribers
24 hours left before the books go out of print, plus other stuff
Some time in the early evening (eastern time) tomorrow (Saturday the 15th) both volumes of On This Day in History Sh!t Went Down are going out of print. A couple of days after that the new Bantam Books version will go on pre-sale, with a publication date of October 10, 2023.
So, for six months there will be no Volume I, and for about 18 months there will be no Volume II. Last chance to get the self-published versions is RFN, right fucking now, at JamesFell.com/books.
Regarding the daily emails
For those who are newish, a brief history of publishing of these stories, with a note about what you can expect moving forward.
The content for Volume I began publishing on Facebook on April 18, 2020. The final story for V1 was published on Facebook (the first time) on April 17, 2021.
When the content for Volume II began, it started on April 18 of 2021, and was published not just on Facebook, which is ephemeral, but also here on Substack. The last story for V2 was published here on April 17, 2022.
Then, six weeks after all the V2 stories were published, I decided fuck it, V1 needs to also be on Substack because reasons. Like, it not being ephemeral but in a place that they can be easily searched et-fucking-cetera. But I didn’t make that decision immediately and so the first posting of a V1 story didn’t appear here on Substack until June 1 of 2022. Confused yet? Anyway, what I’m saying is that I still have another six weeks of stories from V1 to post here on Substack, so you’re still going to get the daily email until May 31 to finished the year.
Note regarding all of the above: These are the old versions of the stories. V1 has gone through a thorough edit to make it way more better, and so shall V2. The stories on Substack will remain as they were, reflective of the self-published content. The only place to get the new and improved stories will be in the new books. Also note that a number of stories have been replaced with new ones, and those aren’t getting posted here either.
What happens after May 31? Answer: New shit.
More stuff will regularly be posted, and some of it will be free, and some will only be for paying subscribers. On that note, I have great loyalty among my paying subscribers because they seem to like the special access shit, so if you wanna join up, here you go:
And again, tick fucking tock on buying the old versions. Last chance.
Tick fucking tock indeed. Someone's going to get an MBA doing a case study on you one day, mark my words. Or maybe a PhD in English? Do they have doctorates in swearing? Because you'd get THAT with flying fucking colors.
