A Halloween Update

That’s my friend Ryan, who is co-owner of Owl’s Nest Books in Calgary. He dressed up as a bookseller and I dressed as a grubby Canadian author. Signed copies have been selling like mad at his store and they just received a bunch more in need of signing. Since he lives nearby he kindly came by my house last night and hung out and helped give out candy while I signed them.

Another update is that I’ve been doing a lot more on TikTok of late, if you’re into that sort of thing. I am @swearyhistorian. I did a “Halloween Hot Take” video yesterday that you might find amusing. There are a bunch of other new videos there to watch.

Shit, I’m showing my age. I think you’re supposed to call it a TikTok and not a video. Or maybe you’re just not supposed to say “TikTok Video.” I don’t know. Get off my lawn.

In other news, the book is still #1 for nonfiction in all of Alberta, and climbed to #6 in Canada. Help me get on some kind of list in the U.S., will ya?
